If you're looking for a healthy and light dessert that's also refreshing, this Ginger Grape Granita could be it. It doesn't take a lot of ingredients, it will satisfy your snow cone craving, and can keep in the freezer for a month.
This can also be a fun palate cleanser you serve mid meal. This was one of the dishes I served at the Fall Harvest Dinner before serving the main course.

Use a clear shot of the ingredients for this recipe, prepped, and labeled if necessary. Add a paragraph of content describing why these ingredients were chosen. Insert the ingredients into the list below, omitting quantities.
- Grapes: Make sure to get seedless grapes. For this recipe I used Concord grapes but you may use any kind.
- Maple Syrup: If you don't have maple syrup, you can use honey or make a simple syrup.
* See recipe card for full list of ingredients and quantities.

Variations
- Fruit: You can use your imagination here and use a long list of fruit to make your granita - watermelon, plum, lemon, peach, you name it!
- Spice: I like balancing out the sweetness with some ginger, but you can add chili flakes
- Citrus: You can use lemon juice instead of lime juice
- Sweetener: Instead of maple syrup, you can use honey or dissolve white or brown sugar in a small saucepan with water until the sugar dissolves to make a simple syrup.
Serious Eats has an article that outlines how to make any kind of granita and lists some suggestions.
