Ingredients
For 1 cocktail
½ozmaple syrup + 1 teaspoon for the glass rim
1teaspoonsaltfor the glass rims
1pinchground cinnamon + 1 more pinch for the the glass rim
1oztequila
½oztriple sec
½ozlime juice
4ozblood orange juicefreshly squeezed and strained to remove pulp
ice
Mint and blood orange slices for garnishoptional
Instructions
Prepare the rim: On one plate, pour 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. On another, mix together the 1 teaspoon of salt, a pinch of cinnamon. Dip the rim of your glass into the maple syrup, then into the salt mixture to coat.
Prep the margarita: In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 oz tequila, ½ oz triple sec, ½ oz lime juice, 4 oz freshly squeezed blood orange juice, a pinch of cinnamon, and ice. Shake well until the ingredients are chilled and mixed.
Pour and garnish: Pour the mixture into your rimmed glass filled with ice, add a blood orange slice and mint for garnish, and enjoy!

2 tablespoons salt (for rimming the glasses)
⅛ teaspon of ground cinnamon + ⅛ teaspoon for the glass rim
1 cup tequila

4 cups blood orange juice
